  • Transvaginal Mesh
  • Lipitor
  • Januvia, Byetta, Janumet and Victoza
  • GranuFlo
  • Metal-on-Metal Hip Replacement Parts

Actos

Medical studies have linked the onset of bladder cancer to the ingestion of Actos, a drug originally prescribed for persons with Type 2 Diabetes. Drug manufacturer, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, recently set up a trust fund of $2.37 billion to compensate thousands of pending Actos claims.

Xarelto & Pradaxa

The drugs Xarelto and Pradaxa are blood thinners which create serious side effects including internal bleeding, gastrointestinal bleeding, brain bleeding and death. Researchers have linked Pradaxa to more than 500 deaths. Xarelto blood thinner litigation is currently consolidated in the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Transvaginal Mesh

Transvaginal mesh has been used by surgeons when placing surgical mesh through the vagina to treat pelvic organ prolapse, including bladder prolapse. Transvaginal mesh presents greater risks for the patient than other options, including pain, infection, organ perforation, urinary problems, and even mesh prolapse where the mesh becomes exposed or protrudes out of the vaginal tissue. These cases are being actively litigated.

Lipitor

A statin drug used to treat high cholesterol, Lipitor was one of the best-selling drugs in the world. Recent studies have found a possible link between Lipitor and the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. In a recent study, of approximately 153,000 women who took Lipitor, more than 10,000 had developed Type 2 diabetes by the end of the study.

Januvia, Byetta, Janumet and Victoza

These are drugs known as "incretin mimetics" and are used to treat Type 2 diabetes. The FDA has issued several warnings about links between Byetta, Januvia, Janumet and Victoza to complications related to pancreatic diseases, including acute pancreatitis and the increased risk of pancreatic cancer.

GranuFlo

GranuFlo and NaturaLyte are products used in the dialysis process. Use of these dialysis products has been linked to an increased risk of cardiopulmonary arrest and sudden cardiac death. Studies reveal the manufacturer, Fresenius Medical Care, was aware of the dangers and injuries associated with these products but failed to warn patients and doctors until 2012. We are investigating death claims as well as claims of heart attack, cardiopulmonary arrest, or any other serious injury.

Metal-on-Metal Hip Replacement Parts

Problems associated with metal-on-metal devices include loosening, fracturing, and dislocating of the device caused by inflammation of the joint space. We are investigating all cases involving metal-on-metal hip implants, including the DePuy Orthopedics ASR XL Acetabular System and the DePuy ASR Hip Resurfacing System; the Smith and Nephew R3 Acetabular System; the Stryker Rejuvenate and the ABG II modular-neck stems; the DePuy Pinnacle; The Zimmer Durom Cup; the Wright Conserve, and the Biomet M2A and M2A-Magnum hip replacement systems. Reported problems are pain, swelling, problems walking, and the need for additional hip replacement surgery.
